Playing with AJFC

Abbotsford Juniors Football Club's key objective is to provide a safe and friendly environment for football players of all ages. As the club’s name suggests, our core focus is on junior football player development: a coaching director coordinates an age-based training program, ensuring that all children are taught age-appropriate skills and the club offers extended skills training for keen players.

The club currently has well over 1000 registered members with teams ranging from Under 6 to Over 45 age groups, with boys, girls and mixed teams playing in the Junior and Youth ranks.

Junior Football
AJFC Junior football covers players in the Under 6 to Under 11 age groups.  Games are played according to Small Sided Football rules which are structured to provide a fun and
enjoyable experience whilst learning our great game. Team numbers and pitch size increase as players move through the age groups. Teams typically train once per week with games played on a Saturday morning.

Please see our Juniors Small Sided Football FAQ for more detail.

Youth Football

AJFC Youth football covers players in the Under 12 to Under 18 age groups.  Competition games (results and league tables) are played 11 versus 11 players on full size pitches with teams graded into divisions according to ability. Teams typically train once per week with games played on a Sunday.

Please see our Youth Football FAQ for more detail.

Girls and Womens Football
AFJC offers competition football for girls and women of all ages including access to mixed and girls-only teams at Junior and Youth levels.  Our skills development program is also available for girls aged 10 to 14 with the Club actively expanding this program.  Teams typically train once per week with games played on a Sunday.

Please see our Girls and Womens Football FAQ for more detail.

Seniors Football
AJFC Seniors football covers anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to play competition football.  Under 21, All Age, Over 35 and Over 45 age group competitions are available. Teams typically train once or twice per week with the majority of games played on a Saturday with some Sunday make-up games when required.
