Firstly and foremost, Abbotsford Juniors Football Club hopes that everyone is safe and healthy.  We all love our football and couldn’t wait for the new season to start but more important is your health and the wellbeing of your loved ones.

From Tuesday 17th March 2020, acting on the advice of the Football Federations Australia (FFA), the Australian Government and other football governing bodies, the Canterbury and District Soccer Football Association (CDSFA) has suspended all football activity, effective immediately.  The FFA updated its advice on 1st April and extended the suspension of all football activity until at least 31st May 2020.

The New South Wales State Government has recently relaxed the regulations around outdoor social gatherings in parks and fields.
This change DOES NOT yet apply to or allow for organised community sport returning to training.

Whilst the Australian community has done a great job in ‘flatten the curve’ of COVID-19, there is still more work to be done.  Work on a safe return to organised community sport and training is being coordinated by the NSW Government which will issue advice and guidelines on how clubs are to conduct training safely in a COVID-19 environment.  We will as always, keep you updated with any changes or developments.

As a football club and community we are all here together and this will only make us enjoy our football when we return. Take care of your loved ones, practice safe measures and be safe.
