AJFC Parents Code of Conduct
As a Parent and/or guardian of a junior or youth member of Abbotsford Junior Football Club (“the Club”), I agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
I understand that any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in sanctions being imposed upon me by Abbotsford Junior Football Club. At the discretion of the Club, these may include:
1. A verbal or written warning
2. Removal from the field or stadium precinct
3. Cancellation of your personal registration and/or your child’s registration as a Player with the Club
4. Rejection of your personal registration and/or your child’s registration as a Player with the Club for any future season
5. Loss of your personal membership and/or your child’s membership of the Club
6. And/or legal proceedings
As a Parent and/or guardian of a junior or youth member of Abbotsford Juniors Football Club I agree to:
7. Be a good sport and treat all participants as I wish to be treated. I will remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment not only mine
8. Encourage players to play according to the rules
9. Always act in accordance with the Club’s Core Values
10. Encourage players to participate and do their best; not force them
11. Not yell or ridicule a player for making a mistake or losing a game
12. Control my temper. Verbal abuse, sledging, deliberately distracting or provoking officials or any other participant in the sport are not acceptable behaviour.
13. Not arrive at the field intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances
14. Respect and follow the directions of match officials and club officials. I will remember that without them, my child could not play football
15. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion
